Dream Big, Little One (Vashti Harrison) by Vashti Harrison is Absolutely adorable little board book! I got the other version for my 3 year old daughter last Christmas. But it really is too much for a small child. When my sister gifted this one, it was perfect! So perfect that I bought another one to frame pages for my daughter’s room! I thought this was a wonderful way to surround her with art and expose her to black history and role models who can inspire her to “dream bigâ€!!
Dream Big, Little One (Vashti Harrison) by Vashti Harrison is I am so happy to read this book to my daughter l. I love Little leaders: bold women in black history, however; being that my daughter is two, she is not quite ready for that text. I am extatic that this book is an age appropriate “abbreviated version†that allows her to see beautiful faces that look like hers that have impacted and changed the world in a multitude of ways!!! My daughter was so happy to point to the women in the book and say they were “girls Like her!†Representation matters and this text shows young black girls that women who look like them Have a voice and impact on this world and that they can too!
Dream Big, Little One (Vashti Harrison) by Vashti Harrison is I love love love this book for my daughter. This author should be honored for such a great and informed book for children. So positive that it should be used for black history month at every school in my opinion. Highly recommended!
Dream Big, Little One (Vashti Harrison) by Vashti Harrison is Gorgeous pictures- bought it for my niece for Xmas. Going to be a great gift. So hard to find inspiring board books! This will be a “go to†item for baby showers from now on!
